I’m passionate about helping you flourish through the Pilates method.
A mother, wife and Pilates Instructor. Like so many Pilates instructors my passion of movement started at an early age. I loved to dance as a child and as I grew up Ballet became my passion.
By my early 20s I took a trip to Canada, not long after my graduation from the Doreen Bird College of Performing Arts. This trip to Canada introduced me to Aerobics and Body Conditioning (a form of exercise that has a whole body focus, much like Pilates). I became fascinated by these fitness methods and as soon as I returned to the UK I embarked on my professional fitness journey and became a qualified fitness instructor. I taught Aerobics, Step, Boxercise, Spin, Circuits and of course, Body Conditioning classes before becoming a manager at Dylans Health Club at the Celtic Manor.
I took some time to focus on my family. When I returned to teaching, I took up a new course through Fitness Wales and became qualified in the Pilates method. Pilates was a natural progression from my former teaching methods, especially with my background in Ballet. Even though this was new to me it just ‘clicked’. I’ve been teaching Pilates for 17 years and I’ve not looked back since. I specialise in Mat Pilates and I’m hot on technique (that’s definitely part of a dancer’s background, it was drilled into me at an early age!)
I believe that exercise doesn’t need to feel intimidating to make a difference. If my years of teaching have taught me anything, it’s that understanding, friendliness and a little laughter can go a long way.
With love,
